Dancing on air

I didn't get into So You Think You Can Dance until this season. Stange I know seeing as Danceworks members talk about it all the time, but I I always thought it was Hip Hop strong and while I do love watching strong hip hop choreography it's not my favorite genre. Nor is ballet, which is what I was trained in. Contemporary, lyrical and modern are so interesting.



This past holiday weekend I can't seem to stop watching this video. I'm in awe. Just enough attitude and yet contemporary movements. Oh I love Mia Michaels' choreography!



I love the song (even the way it's cut down here). But mostly I love that there's no fancy props or costumes; it's just raw emotion and complete faith in your partner. Without absolute trust in each other Katee and Joshua wouldn't be able to pull of the choreography as seamlessly as they did. This was just gorgeous.



This inspires me to get back into choreographing, ha!
